Pathmark on Cherry Street closing in December

For those who may be unfamiliar with the geography of Chinatown, it might seem as if there's no short supply of fresh fruits and veggies. But for the many seniors and low income families living on the eastern edge of the community, the Pathmark on Cherry St. is often the only option for pharmacy services and groceries. That's why it's disappointing that it will close in December and will be replaced by a luxury condo.
