SHANGHAI GOURMET

I've been seeing more and more Shanghai restaurants sprout up in Chinatown.

My buddy Rosemary was craving soup dumplings; while my tummy was saying "lobster".  I had remembered passing by Shanghai Gourmet which is a new joint on Pell Street.  They advertised a lobster special in their window...

While chatting for 2 hours, we happily enjoyed a plate of string beans with pork, soup dumplings, lobster, a Coca Cola and a beer all for a mere total of $34.50.  We were stuffed senseless and had left over food.

This new restaurant is affordable, yummy, and clean.  The service is also very polite and will help you choose items off the menu if you are not familiar with Shanghai cuisine.

Thumbs up!
